Isaiah 41:10–12
10 Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
11 “Behold, all those who were incensed against you Shall be ashamed and disgraced; They shall be as nothing, And those who strive with you shall perish.
12 You shall seek them and not find them— Those who contended with you. Those who war against you Shall be as nothing, As a nonexistent thing.
The rains came, the wind blew, and we discovered God was there amidst the storm. God walked with us through the storm. At times God diverted the storm. When the storm came, God was there. God’s presence is not always seen but can be felt.
Followers of Christ are presented with other storms in life that cannot always be seen with the physical eye. There is a spiritual storm occurring in the lives of many. As God protects us during the physical storms of life, He is protecting in the most dangerous storms of our lives, the spiritual. Satan attacks, God protects.
When the enemy attacks we have a choice. We can trust in the idols of life or trust in the One True God. When the enemy attacks where do we place our trust. Who do we trust. Psalm 20:7 “Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God.”
Philippians 4:6–7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Proverbs 3:5–6
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;
6 In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.
