Psalm 14:1
1 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, They have done abominable works, There is none who does good.
The most wicked of sinners are those who are fools! They deny God. Maybe worse than those are the ones who say they know God but live their lives as if God did not exist.
Pastor Craig Groeschel discovered in his own life that although he believed in God, he was leading his church as if God didn’t exist. How many of us do the same? We honestly believe in God, we have accepted Christ into our lives, yet we live as if God does not exist.
If we want to know what a person believes we should not listen to their words. We should listen to their actions. Many love their money. Money is their god. Watch how they use their money. Do professing Christians really believe all things belong to God? What we believe affects how we live.
Our minds must be renewed. Our spirit must be renewed.
Ephesians 4:23 “And be renewed in the spirit of your mind.” What we put in our minds; our thoughts, will come out in our actions. Our minds are continually being inundated, submerged in the things, and the ways of the world daily.
Romans 12:1–2 “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
I do not know who wrote or said this, but it is true. “What we believe changes what we do.” I do know what Paul wrote in Colossians 2:6 “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.”
Daily, moment by moment, we must choose to submit to God. Satan is lurking to devour. He wants to devour you, your life, your witness for God. There are professing Christians, those who speak the words but do not live the life. They present their lives to a god, but not the God of all creation. Choose today to live your life knowing God does exist and lives in you.
